Barmouth - (Mochras) Faces WSW. Beach break. Works all stages of tide. Suitable for beginners. Fairbourne - Faces NW. Sheltered spot when swell is big. Not suitable for beginners. Llwyngwril - Faces N. Perfect left when blown out on-shore everywhere else. Point break over boulders. Works 1 hour either side of high tide. Advanced surfers only. Tywyn - (Aberdyfi) Faces WSW. Beach break. Surf at all stages of tide but best 1 hour after high. Rip currents on big swells. Suitable for beginners. Borth - (Ynyslas) Faces W. Shingle and sand. Works on most stages of tide. Suitable for beginners. Aberystwyth - (Harbour Trap) Faces W. Rock and mussel bed. Works best high down to mid tide. Strong rip from river. Not suitable for beginners.
